still in the basement

This is what the machine looks like now.  (Can you spot the sewing kits?) It's still in my basement, still not painted.  But it sure is filling up nicely!

Last weekend I had a cinco de mayo party and friends came over and played around with the machine and sat around the trash cans drinking micheladas.   See Asa and his girlfriend.  Boy is so smitten!

After a bunch of people popped money in we realized I didn't know how to get their money back.   Pretty embarrassing, but we all know I'm not easily shamed.
Fortunately, that problem has since been solved & the money returned.  The problem was that my change machine was too low on coinage.   For all you would-be vending machine entrepreneurs take note,  the change machine has to be  at least 1/2 full before any money gets deposited in the cash box.  If the change machine is empty or low, coins deposited by customers will go towards filling the change machine.  My change machine is old, and there's no way to drop ALL the coins out of it at once, so instead you gotta take each coin out individually.  It's a hassle.  Best thing to do is keep that change machine full.  Lesson learned.
Here's a close up.
