How to wear a poncho

The weather has been crazy!  Hard rain, wind from every direction, intermittent bursts of sunlight, fallen trees, downed power lines, flooding.   What to do when the world is ending all around you?
Get yourself to the nearest Venderia and stock up on Emergency Ponchos.

These beauties are lightweight, colorful, and uber stylish.  Best of all, they are extremely versatile.
So what's YOUR emergency rain poncho style?  Here at the Venderia, we came up with a few different looks to choose from.

1.) Sunny bikini cover-all.
If you want to send a mixed message, pair a sexy bikini with a classy, mostly transparent poncho.  Do you want to get wet or not?  It's unclear.  What is clear is how wet everybody else is gonna get...
Raise the hood, add a belt, and find a flower accessory to really crank the look up a notch.
You will definitely keep 'em guessing now.

2.) Casual poncho wear.
Maybe all you want is to keep yourself dry.  Throw the poncho over your favorite bar logo hoodie, grab a beer, and chill with your gnomies.  Perfect for night or day, dawn or dusk.

3.) Formal poncho hood shawl.
Whether you're strolling through your garden or admiring your wood pile, you should always be ready for a fancy date- regardless of what mother nature throws at you.  So put on a slinky dress, shoes that may or not be appropriate for walking in, and bundle your poncho around your head and neckline.  With this look, more volume is always better.

Extra special thanks to Sonya Miranda Collier for flying in from California to photograph this shoot (and attend an international conference by the American Association of Aerosol Research).  Sorry we couldn't scrounge up a model who was less of a floozie!
